City signed off a stunning league season at the Etihad in style as the Champions secured a fine 3-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.
On an emotional evening with the club saying farewell to Yaya Toure after eight years’ magnificent service, Pep Guardiola’s side set three new Premier League records.
Goals from Danilo, Bernardo Silva and Fernandinho saw the club chalk up 105 goals for the season, overtaking Chelsea’s previous record of 103 – with Sunday’s finale at Southampton still to come.
It was also the Club’s 31st league win of the season – which saw us overtake Chelsea’s record tally of 30 set last season.
And with a game to go, City have now registered 97 points for the season – another best, overtaking the previous record of 95, again recorded by Chelsea.
